God exists outside of time, in eternity. Eternity according to Boethius and Aquinas is “the simultaneously whole and perfect possession of interminable life.”
Every moment before time began, at the Big Bang, at every moment of history, now and all future time up to and beyond the Last Judgement, is simultaneous to God.
We exist inside time, we are in a way prisoners of time. God is not. He transcends all time.
The three divine Persons of the Most Holy Trinity are bound together in infinite love. They had no need to create the Universe, but freely chose to do so, in order to share their life and joy with us.
