REST AND DIGEST PARASYMP

Allowing yourself to be continually stressed and in a perpetual state of anxiety is very demanding on both your mind and body. Your body reprioritizes its activities and neglects non-essential functions like healing, digesting and growing. Chronic worrying depletes your immune system and makes you less able to deal with whatever was concerning you in the first place. So the simple message is that if you can do something about the problem then do it, and if you can’t do anything about it, then accept the situation and stop worrying.
