AFTR DTH

“I’m living a rather happy life and I think I would describe my average emotion as positive. Therefore, feeling is better than not feeling. I wouldn’t feel anything negative if I wouldn’t feel anything, but it would be worse than before.”
I like your post overall, but in this fragment there is some really bad logic. Absent goods are not bad if there is nobody who is deprived by their absence.
Did you feel ANY discomfort in the previous 13,8 billions of years? Of course You did not, cause there was no “You” yet. Discomforts, suffering and others become available only after you came to exist. You can’t be deprived of love, friendship, awe etc. when you did not exist, because there is no “You” that can be deprived of anything. That means, that even if you feel now better than worse, that even if life is a good thing for you, when You do not exist that state is AT LEAST not worse from this state that you are now.
