For keen gardeners and those who are merely naturephiles like myself, the stream of research lauding its benefits is highly satisfying.
This month we learnt that using gardens is linked to higher well-being, more physical activity and more frequent visits to nature.
Examples of sports that require complex movement patterns include tennis, baseball, ice hockey, basketball, badminton and squash.
Still, those stuck indoors can still work on improving their personality, aspects of which can be changed in as little as two weeks.
People who wanted to increase aspects of their conscientiousness and openness to experience were able to do so with a little effort, the study found.
