VSA defined by its excess

Buddhism’ is an English name for a religion often called by its adherents the Dharma, meaning both ‘the teaching’ and ‘the way things are’. It is named after the Buddha, ‘the one who has awakened’.

When the parents of a child patient (Fig. 1) say to you: ‘I want a second opinion’, we all know we should agree with good grace. Yet, no matter how much we have thought through the need to respect requests for second opinions, there is a good chance the request will hurt our professional pride. We have spent many years learning clinical skills and expertise, including the importance of trust between a physician and a child and her parents. The request for a second opinion can feel like the parents are saying: ‘We don't trust your opinion’.

POST DOM Q SLNT TRTMNT IN 45R

"Just because you've made mistakes doesn't mean your mistakes get to make you. Take notice of your inner critic, forgive yourself, and move on."

-- Robert Tew

ASectarian worship of particular deities grew and flourished in India through much
of the first millennium ce. Increasingly, Vedic sacrifice was marginalized, giving
way to devotional worship, or puja – the ritual expression of love or devotion (bhakti) to a deity.

Advaita is against “free will.”

For a “will” to be an actuality, there would have to be an entity that wills. Advaita politely asks, “What part about BRAHMAN don’t you understand?”

One means one. Don’t be trying to hammer a two into this deal. All expressions fall short when identity is being defined. Even the sacred holy perfect “I am” is baseless blasphemy in the face of the unity of BRAHMAN.

Even to assume that BRAHMAN has will is to assert threeness. As if there were a will, a willed and a willer. Nope.

Proof, you ask? You want an avalanche of logic, right? You want me to start with axiomatic utter truth and then build the syllogism? No problem. That’s all the scriptures of Advaita Vedanta! Duh! — just waiting for you to read. You want sussing. There’s the suss. I’m not kidding. Just you try to find a flaw in their statements.

And then the ancients tell you, “Don’t bother reading all this. Just transcend, wuddjajust? The intellect isn’t going to set you free. These words are for entertainment purposes only. Only realization matters. Only dissolving into BRAHMAN will satisfy any intellect’s need for clarity or any heart’s longing for communion.”

When Lord Brahma was first born, He tried to get clear about the Lotus Stalk. We know how that turned out. He had to quit. Then He tried to create. Didn’t. And then He got advice from beyond. “Tapas.” Translation: “Give up! Retire from being God. Surrender. Let that which must become become. Get out of the way.” And so He did just that, and creation began. This is Advaita’s lesson on “will.”

Lord Brahma took one for the team.
Had to learn the hard way — had to fail and so to teach.

Two — the first sin.

So Advaita says, “Transcend. Realize BRAHMAN. Get out of the person business. Get out of the way. What’s to do is not your concern.”

So, next time you feel a need to think, when there’s a thought just sitting there waiting for you to think it, when all you need is one more thought to tide you over, remember Lord Brahma.

Because, well, ya got trouble, my friend, right here
I say, trouble right here in Doer City
We are addicted to do, doo and due;
Doers do doo-doo due to two.
It’s the stink of being a you.
And you rhymes with do.
Right here in Doer City
Do with a capital D
And D rhymes with P.
And that stands for pool!

Hehehehe. They’re actually not wrong, they’re just forgetting that dissolving into Brahman is not complete enlightenment yet. Transcend into Brahman, yes, but Brahman itself must be transcended, also. Then the question of free will becomes moot. ;)

Getting attached to name, fame, identify, attachment, status , wisdom , Brahman— nothing ness, just energy, say it solute, soluble, solution— ??? Atoms, something deeper than proton. Nothing. No language, logic, relative truth ? Just a feeling of fullfillment— to have an easy existential flow.

“Like many Indian children, I grew up on the vast, varied, and fascinating tales of the Mahabharat. Set at the end of what the Hindu scriptures term Dvapar Yug or the Third Age of Man (which many scholars date between 6000 BCE and 5000 BCE), a time when the lives of men and gods still intersected, the epic weaves myth, history, religion, science, philosophy, superstition, and statecraft into its innumerable stories-within-stories to create a rich and teeming world filled with psychological complexity. It moves with graceful felicity between the very recognizable human world and magical realms where yakshas and apsaras roam, depicting these with such exquisite surety that I would often wonder if indeed there was more to existence than what logic and my senses could grasp.”

Mesopotamia is the Greek name for the lands of the Tigris and Euphrates rivers, currently occupied by Iraq and Syria. This region had no easily defensible frontiers, and throughout historical times fierce hill-people raided from the east, while herdsmen from the steppe overran the fertile lands from the west and south, as they saw the potential of cultivating its rich soil and fishing its rivers. The northern part of Mesopotamia has enough annual rainfall for farmers to grow grain and find pasture, and people have lived in its hills and near its rivers since Neolithic times, about 12,000 years ago.

THE ELEMENTS OF VISIBLE CODE
A human being communicates through verbal and non-verbal language. Exchange through words refers to verbal communication while non-verbal communication refers to all external stimuli other than spoken or written words. The elements which are visually perceived and which perform a role in communication are collectively termed as ‘visible code’ and they are :
1. Personal appearance
2. Gestures
3. Postures
4. Facial expressions
5. Eye expressions
6. Space and distancing
7. Voice and intonation
8. Haptics or touch

Thanissaro Bhikkhu:

Notice that you practice developing these attitudes toward all beings—including yourself. It’s easy to feel goodwill, for example, for those you like, or equanimity toward those who have no connection to you. But it requires a conscious effort to be able to maintain these attitudes toward anyone and everyone. It’s not the case that the brahmavihāras are the heart’s innate nature. After all, their opposites can come just as naturally to the heart. It’s just as easy to feel ill will for those who have betrayed you or your loved ones as it is to feel goodwill for those who behave in ways you like.

... So you extend goodwill to all, regardless of whether they “deserve” to be happy. Remember the example of the Buddha, who taught the way to the end of suffering to all beings, regardless of whether they “deserved” to suffer or not.

... You’re thinking, “May you understand the causes for true happiness and be willing and able to act on them.” This is an attitude you can extend to all beings, without hypocrisy, regardless of how they’ve behaved in the past.

CALM MIND

"The difference between a vacant mind and a calm mind is this: that when the mind is vacant, there is no thought, no conception, no mental action of any kind, except an essential perception of things without the formed idea; but in the calm mind, it is the substance of the mental being that is still, so still that nothing disturbs it. If thoughts or activities come, they do not rise at all out of the mind, but they come from outside and cross the mind as a flight of birds crosses the sky in a windless air. It passes, disturbs nothing, leaving no trace. Even if a thousand images or the most violent events pass across it, the calm stillness remains as if the very texture of the mind were a substance of eternal and indestructible peace. A mind that has achieved this calmness can begin to act, even intensely and powerfully, but it will keep its fundamental stillness—originating nothing from itself but receiving from Above and giving it a mental form without adding anything of its own, calmly, dispassionately, though with the joy of the Truth and the happy power and light of its passage."

~ Sri Aurobindo

Develop a non-judgmental relationship with your mind. This is best done through the practice of meditation. When you’re under the sway of strong emotion, you come into contact with a state of being that I like to call Insane Obsessive Thinking

A
View your whole life as path. With a sense of clarity in your mind and stability in your heart, the third stage becomes something altogether different. There is no practice associated with this one. With mental clarity and emotional stability comes the ability to see your entire life as path. You have created the foundation for an entirely authentic life, one full of joy and sorrow, meetings and partings, giving and taking, and deep meaning. The dark power of heartbreak has led you there.

A

I know a very wise man.

He draws one of the the highest salary given by the government of our country.

Once we were having a discussion about struggles during initial days.

He said that there was a time when his parents had almost nothing left to sponsor his studies.

While he was failing all exams by thin margins.

I asked him how did he deal with that phase.

He simply said-

“God has given me two hands, two legs and a mind. I was sure that if any day I simply go out and start driving or do some physical labor, I will at least earn food for two times. This thought kept me going with full force until I found my way”

His words did magic to my thoughts.

That day I learnt that-

If you can't earn at your current level, be it any reason, shamelessly step down and you will become the best among rest and easily earn a livelihood.

There is another example-

In 2008, due to recession, a person lost his job of around 40K a month.

He didn't get any job even after repeated searches.

Finally he stepped down from his current level, opened a Chaat (snack) cart, hired two employees, used good quality oil and fresh products.

Slowly he built a customer base.

And now after a decade, he has rented out a store and is earning much more than that job.

Keep doing your karma (deeds) shamelessly, unbothered about what others may think, and you will definitely find a source of income.

lord rudra is vaishnavottam and thats why he comes in every yuga to help his ishta deva lord Vishnu

A

Lord Vishnu takes incarnation by the name Ram in Treta yug and Krishna avatar in Dwapar yug on earth for saving dharma.

a

Both Yes and No.

Yes because Mahaganapati and Ganesha is same tatwā. Mahaganapati is 5th form of Parabrahman. He is saguna Brahman and anugraha karaka form. Surya(Srishti), Narayana(Sthithi), Shiva(Vinasha), Shakti(Tirodhana) are other 4 forms of Parabrahman.

No because Mahaganapati is Mulā Ganapati whereas lord Ganesha is his form. Just same like Adyāshakti Trìpurāmbikā and Goddess Parvati. After the process of creation Mahaganapati incarnates as Gouriputra Ganesha.
