COMPETITION PREDICATES COOPERATION

////////////////////////Sex is simply a mix-master innovation that works with asexual reproduction to drive multi-cellular organisation, but the degree of sexual/asexual behaviour is a complex interplay. In fact asexual reproduction would quickly wipe out the high cost sexual reproducers, if it were not for cooperative effects.

//////////////////////// The whole mantra of "survival of the fittest" emphasises the individual, whereas organisms do not survive as individuals, they survive as populations within ecosystems. Any gene that assists a population to survive is a survival trait, it only matters that the gene is in the gene pool

/////////////////////EXIT EARTH= GENETIC DIVERSITY TEST

////////////////////proto-cellular organisms and even earlier, to RNA world, we really start to see how cooperation is fundamentally important.  We can see it plainly in the cooperative chemical cycles that make up metabolic processes. Cooperative biological effects stabilise the planet and make it habitable for life.
