equanimity is. Basically it's tranquility towards everything, not reacting much.
So if I see someone getting hurt, and then I scream and cry and run and just panic. That's not equanimity. It's better to remain calm, maybe call someone or do something useful, or do nothing really.
Or if someone experiences a little pleasure or happiness, and then cheers and dances and screams, then that's not equanimity either.
Equanimity just looks like tranquility. So like a monk or a doctor or something like that.

Concentration and Realization: The yogi's ultimate goal is to merge their mind completely with these subtle internal sounds. This merging leads to the realization of chidakasha, the pure consciousness within the space of the heart. By immersing oneself in this realm of pure consciousness, the yogi experiences a profound sense of awareness and liberation.

DR QRA
Well it is quite obviously true. What is born out of the mind? Ideas, thoughts, attachments, fears, anxieties, unfulfilled desires, loneliness, etc. They are so fleeting and mercurial! They are not a stable reality, but illusionary, shifting, without a basis.
What underlies them all? Consciousness. Pure consciousness - like a deep lake beneath the reflections on its surface. Dive into That. Abide in That. Become established in That, and the vicissitudes of the shallow surface illusions lose so much of their power to hurt you.

For in so far as I wish, I recollect my manifold past lives, that is, one birth, two births, three births,… a hundred births, … a hundred thousand births, … And in so far as I wish, with the divine eye, which is purified and surpasses the+ human, I see beings passing away and reappearing, inferior and superior, fair and ugly, fortunate and unfortunate, and I understand how beings pass on according to their actions thus: 'These worthy being as who are ill-conducted in body, speech, and mind, revilers of noble ones, wrong in their views, giving effect to wrong view in their actions, on the dissolution of the body, after death, have reappeared in a state of deprivation, in a bad destination, in perdition, even in hell; but these worthy being as who are well-conducted in body, speech, and mind, not revilers of noble ones, right in their views, giving effect to right view in their actions, on the dissolution of the body, after death, have reappeared in a good destination, even in the heavenly world.' And by realizing for myself with direct knowledge, I here and now enter upon and abide in the deliverance of mind and deliverance by wisdom that are taintless with the destruction of the taints.

TAS QRA
The clearest indication that you’ve gone as far as you can with what the physical plane has to offer is that you’re no longer intrigued by the plays taking place here, nor are you able to immerse yourself for very long in the melodramas of life.
Everything has become like viewing a soap opera. You can observe the goings on around you and know what framework someone is dealing with (such as working for a corrupt boss, loved/unloved, teacher/student, partnership, dependent/independent, etc.); you can recognize what connections you have and when they will trigger; you know what each connection is for; and you spend more time in the astral plane then on the physical plane.
Because few of your entity mates are still incarnate, you’ll find it very difficult to connect with other people. Most often you will seek to be alone rather than have to deal with the trivial pursuits and concerns that occupy most other people. Final cycle souls no longer have to search for the truth because instinctively they already know what it is. They and their soul are more in tune with each other and so work in tandem rather than at odds.

We are organisms empty of the “self” . If there is someone inside this organism looking for something, wanting to be aware of something, trying to sit in meditation or anything then the “person” is still in the ego trap.
You have to realise that an organism is an empty of the “self”. The “personal self” is an ego , an illusion. Drop this now!
Personal self is the cause of suffering. If there is Nobody (empty of the personal self) then still problem is there but nobody, no he or she who is suffering. Everything is just what is! Empty of the “self”.
