“You” do not ‘obtain’ or ‘attain’ Nirvana. No one does. Because the “you” that wants or attempt to ‘obtain’ Nirvana is the very illusory thing that must end and be realized as illusion in order for Nirvana to occur.
“You” don’t go anywhere. In Nirvana, You realize You are the entire Universe and the emptiness/Silence behind it…so where could you go?
Wanting the little “you,” the illusory ‘personal “you,” to go somewhere after Nirvana is pure Samsara, because all ‘personal’ desires (even the one for Nirvana or Enlightenment) just reinforces the belief in the illusory ‘personal entity,’ thus keeping the cycle of rebirth going.
