//////////////////MATTER IS LILA OF ENERGY ON SPACE-TIME
//////////////////////TROLLEY PROBLEM=Not everyone who makes the decision to push the large person off the footbridge is necessarily a psychopath. One could very well do so reluctantly and with regret—against one's will—even as one's amygdala and other emotional centres in the brain were lighting up like a Christmas tree. The rational part of our brains can (and often does) override the emotional part when the need arises.
/////////////////////........Doctors are faced with such moral dilemmas all the time, though perhaps ones that are not so extreme. A woman in an accident is trapped under a 10-ton truck and is unconscious. Actually, only her right leg is trapped under the truck. The truck cannot be moved without the proper equipment, which will take half an hour to arrive at the scene. The woman will die if she is not removed from the accident scene and taken to hospital immediately. Should the doctor cut off the woman's leg to save her life without her consent? In such situations, doctors have been know to make the decision to amputate the leg. In some remote way, this is equivalent to pushing the large person off the footbridge.
