Mysticism consists of a practice of religious ecstasies, together with ideologies, ethics, rites, myths, legends, magics, etc., related to the ecstasies. Mysticism is institutionalized in 90 percent of human societies. Mysticism occurs not only in scripture-based religions, but also in oral religious traditions, where it is known as shamanism, vision quests, spirit possession, spirit mediumship, and prophetism. In oral religions, mystics often assume leadership positions as intermediaries between the numina and the social group. Because book religions invest authority in scriptural exegetes, mystics are marginalized and typically seek politically innocuous ecstasies. In other cases, mystics aspire to authority and become would-be prophets. The contents of mystical experiences may be subdivided into narrative and unitive ecstasies. Both occur in states both of trance and of reverie. Trances reify imaginations as hallucinations and delusions, whose uncritical validation devalues perceptible reality and promotes dissociative philosophies and behavior. Reveries are instead self-evident as heurisms. Mystics have traditionally sought metaphysical transformations, but positive psychological growth has been demonstrated in a few cases.

BG 16.21: There are three gates leading to the hell of self-destruction for the soul—lust, anger, and greed. Therefore, all should abandon these three.

The Theoretical Foundation of the M Scale

Fundamental to mysticism is an experience of unity. Stace (1960) has contended that all mystical experiences have a common core, independent of the interpretation of the experience. This is frequently referred to as the common-core claim of mysticism. Opposing this vantage are the diversity theorists who suggest that language is not only the interpretation of the experience, language also constitutes the experience (Katz, 1977Proudfoot, 1985). The diversity theorists, or social constructionists, suggest that Buddhists have Buddhist experiences, different from Christians who have Christian experiences,

BAD MINUTE NOT A BAD DAY
"Don't let one bad moment ruin your day. Think of it as a bad minute, not a bad day, and you'll be OK. Stress begins when your worry list is longer than your gratitude list. Happiness begins when your gratitude list is longer than your worry list. So find something to be thankful for today. Be sure to appreciate what you've got. Be thankful for the little things in life that mean a lot."

A brief about spirituality.. Start to end

Shiv and Shakti are present in the human body too, having different locations of existence.

Shiv is in the brain where the part is called as SAHASTRAR, Shakti in the Guda called as MULADHAR(base of coccyx)

.. They are distant from each other and thus it is same for the Sadhak (practitioners), their long journey which requires a lot of births here (rebirth to learn ).

THE MOTIVE? To fuse the shiv and shakti and is called "sam rasya maha milan" - which leads to aatma mukti (mukti - be free from something ). This is our ultimate aim and for this we keep on taking births, but stray away from the path due to a lot of worldly pleasures and problems (maaya).

One thing that is really important for the start of real journey is the blessing/initiation from Sadhguru (not the current trending Sadhguru), your guide , your true guru.

The initiation should be without any desire for abilities or expectation .

But this is only possible when Morality/Compassion (Sanskar) shows from within. IF YOU ARE CAPABLE IN THIS REGARD AND ARE ABLE ENOUGH, SADHGURU WILL FIND YOU HIMSELF, SEEK YOU.

If you are interested in adhyatma by heart, .. From an inner point of view have a neutral/unconcerned/nonchalant attitude towards world/society/family .

You don't have greed, hatred, grudge, malevolence, jealousy inside you then you are going right .

Also one thing, breathe is the gateway to spirituality.

CULTIVATE THE INNER LIGHT OF YOUR MIND (2/3)

This light is a point of clarity. This point of clarity allows you to see the Buddha light of your ninth consciousness. You will see the true nature of your mind, you will approach everything in this world with equanimity. When you feel that nothing matters to you in this world, your points of light and clarity will accumulate and grow into a bigger and greater mass. Once these points of light and clarity amass into substantial wisdom, a significant amount of Prajna wisdom, there will be a halo above your head. Many people don’t know why Bodhisattvas have rings of light surrounding their heads. Those are their amassed points of light and clarity, those are their halos. That is the crystallisation of their wisdom, crystallisation of Prajna wisdom.
