DTH ROSS C

Yes, fortunate indeed. I have had too many friends die unpleasant, lingering deaths with interventionist medical treatment which keeps them from death but one could hardly call it life, to not appreciate that dying suddenly, while difficult for those left, is a blessing for those involved.
My grandfather was found dead, sitting on the side of the bed, having sneezed it was said, at 73, and that finished him off. His wife had collapsed at the age of 51, dead in an instant in the hallway. My other grandfather died in his sleep and my grandmother in hospital. Most were fortunate in terms of how they left this mortal coil although my grandmother was a tad too young.
