Prospective Cover

Prospective cover is the requirement to cover for your colleagues' absences on annual leave or study leave. Prospective cover applies in all cases, unless your employer engages locums to cover for colleagues who take leave, or allows you to take leave at any time without the need to swap shifts. If you are working a rota with fixed leave, then prospective cover applies.
