The kind of interference you’ll be letting go of typically comes in one of three varieties: (1) grasping, (2) rejection, and (3) ignorance. When you grasp at a perception, thought, or feeling, you try to hold it tightly, pull it closer to you, and prevent it from leaving. When you reject a perception, thought, or feeling, you try to push it away and get rid of it forcefully. When you ignore a perception, thought, or feeling, you numb out the part of you that might perceive it, pretending that it’s not really happening. To be in the space of “letting go” means resisting the temptation to indulge in grasping, rejection, or ignorance. It means being the sky, granting absolute freedom to the clouds."
