Detachment is a practice done by a “me”. It may very well turn into a reverse-attachment or inversed-attachment. Say detachment from possessions and so needing to not have money around or to never touch money. This then becomes an attachment to not having or touching money.
Non-attachment is the natural state when the illusion of “me” shatters (i.e. enlightenment). Having no attachment one way or another. Not needing money nor needing to not have/touch money (for example). Non-attachment is fine with whatever is…without any clinging or repelling.
