Possibly we retain a remnant of plants perfect souls.
After a lifetime of labour people flock to beach resorts to lie motionless on the beach. Their faces turned to the sun, as the rhythmic heartbeat of the ocean washes over them- they feel reunited with the whole.
Plants are the enlightened ones. They evolved to exist only on the essentials of life. Converting energy for all. This must be the greatest act of kindness in the universe.
