B Nihilism

The truth value of an argument does not depend on its appeal.

Buddhism is pretty much aligned with Epicureanism. The impermanence of everything is a direct consequence of the Second Law of the Thermodynamics. I also consider the Four Noble Truths as self-evident.

What I disagree with is the concept reincarnation. It is an unscientific assumption.

The cessation of desire and only satisfying your physiological and social needs is also the central tenet of Epicureanism: the best things in the life are either free or rather cheap. When you curb your desires and your lusts, instincts and cravings, you also curb the dissatisfaction and miniize the suffering.

Nihilism is the only sensible approach to the world and life itself. As such, Buddhism is on the right track. What else is life but a short stint of suffering between two non-existencies?
