All the Asian economies were built on hardship and insecurity. So it is no surprise then that Jugaad is an not an original Indian concept but exists in other Asian economies as well, although they may be leaving it behind much faster than India. Chabuduo in China has existed as long as Jugaad has been in India. And it means 'close enough' in Mandarin. There are equivalent words in other Asian languages as well.
