If Sun lights off

If the Sun went out, in 8 minutes, everything would obviously get dark, like nighttime. First implication: the Moon would visually disappear because the Sun won't shine on it anymore.

Just after a few hours, big problems would start.

Plants need sunlight to make food and give us oxygen. Without the Sun, plants can't do this, and many living things would be in trouble.

By the end of the first day, it would get super cold. After a month, Earth would be like a big ice ball. Only things living near warm spots, like cracks in the ground that have heat, would be okay.

Keep going this way, in 10 to 20 years, the air would turn into frost and snow (it would be very cold, like -240°C). Still, some deep-sea creatures wouldn't need sunlight, so they'd live and be food for some other fish.

We're talking about if the Sun stopped shining on Earth.

If the Sun would instead disappear, our solar system would be a mess: planets like Earth need the Sun's pull to stay in their paths. Without it, planets would simply float away.
