By now, we are all aware the true “I” could not be our body-mind, our beliefs & concepts, or our life situations…because all those are ever-changing, while “I” am always “I.”
Yet even as we are established in this clarity, the events that appear to happen to the body, mind and family seem to thrust us back into mis-identification with those very things we are not, back into the illusion of a separate “me” experiencing “pleasure” or “pain.”
But what if We were the ‘space’ in which those events appear to be taking place? What if We were the Nothing in which this Everything was ‘appearing’ to arise?
Can you get a sense of that? With eyes open or closed, in a silent room or a noisy environment, see if you can feel yourself as the still, empty space in which all this is taking place, inside you!
This Sunday, we will explore this seminal question of What We Really Are.
Ramana Maharshi said, “There is only The Self;” Buddha said everything else was just transient phenomena - the “not-self” or “anatta;” Sri Nisargadatta said “I Am That.”
I say You are Presence.
Let’s explore this Presence together this Sunday, and see how this shift in perspective dramatically affects our lives.
As always, our Satsangs are open to all and free of charge. Simply email the address on the flyer for your Zoom invitation.
