POPA
There is no such things as “soul” which is possessed by a body.
What the Abrahamics call the “soul” we call the SELF (ātman, or jīvātman) it is characterised by sentience.
It is a point of perceptual awareness (POPA) which temporarily occupies a material body comprised of six elements: oxygen, carbon, hydrogen, nitrogen, calcium, and phosphorus.

Astral body in Sanskrit is called sūkṣma-śarīra.

There is certainly past lives and the disbalance in life of different human seen in the present life is eventually due to previous birth's karmas. Almost every sastras including Bhagvad Geeta points about past lives

BRAIN WAVES- GBAT-D
brain waves and categorised as below:
-Delta waves (below 4 hz) occur during sleep
-Theta waves (4-7 hz) are associated with deep relaxation and visualization
-Alpha waves (8-13 hz) occur during calmness
-Beta waves (13-38 hz) occur when we are actively thinking and alert
#########################
, prepared these 3 bullet points:
1. Why Gita? – ‘Bahu ni me byatitani janmani‘ (verse 4/5) – realization occurs through Kutastha that you have taken birth innumerable times which you do not know.
2. What action has been recommended to transcend birth-death cycle? – ‘yogakarma sukaushalam‘ (verse 2/50) is the technique as defined in verse 4/29 – ‘apane juhvati pranam, prane apanam tathapare, prana-apana gatiruddha pranayama parayana. Apare niyatihara pranan praneshu juhvati‘
– oblation of prana air into apana air and vice versa and achievement of spontaneous cessation of breathing motion or Kevala-Kumbhaka. This is internal pranayama without using any body external air or external breathing (to be derived from Atmagyani Guru or Kriyayogacharya only). Later, oblation of prana air into prana air by being in Kevala-Kumbhaka (Omkar kriya) state . This is the only 1 verse out of 699 verses of Gita on the technique of ‘yogakarma sukaushalam‘ and entire Gita can be directly realized by practising this technique.
3. What will be achieved by practise of above action? – ‘punarjanmo na vidyate‘ (verse 8/16)-cessation of rebirth i.e. moksha.
If above 3 points are not found as above or missing in any Gita explanation or simplification or discourse then those better be avoided!
Kutastha the place of spiritual perception between the eyebrows. This location on the face is commonly associated with the bindi, traditionally worn by Indian women. This area represents the third eye, the information receiver, or the place where our intuition is received.

The OM sound in the form of inner light is kutastha
So what is Awakening Kutastha?
TO be awake is to be aware…TO be aware of kutastha is to be aware of spirit.
TO be aware of spirit is to know …
* that the self/ego is separate from the soul
* that life has a deeper meaning that just being pawns on a planet
* things happen for a reason at a divine time and divine place (aka…there is no such thing as a coincidence)
* that you can never turn back once this awareness takes place (it will be almost impossible once you are aware
* that it takes great practice to increase this awareness (practice can take the form of any spiritual practice that resonates with ones spirit. Freedom from earthly bondage requires great effort and dedication)
SIMPLY PUT:its that part of you that can not be separated until death... its almost like... the innate feeling that you get when you know something is wrong...or when something feels just right... or some may say its the connection they have to Source, God, Spirit, etc.
Though the above summary isn’t exhaustive, this is just a start to explaining kutastha. The purpose of this blog is to provide information to those who would like to broaden their thinking about spirituality and explore different concepts, meanings and routes to inner peace.

The “universe’s” existence is already “ceased,” because in Reality, it never existed in the first place. All that exists is Pure Being, Pure Awareness, Pure Consciousness. Consciousness projects the illusion of a universe (complete with “time,” “space” and a multitude of “individual beings”) with which to “play and discover Itself.” More accurately, it seems to project that “duality” to reflect it back to The Absolute…but this explanation is not graspable by the ego-mind, so there’s no use trying to unpack that.
Since a large part of that illusion is the illusion of “time,” (which definitely does not exist - even the physicists agree) you could say, there is only Now. There’s no past, present or future, and your question infers a future time…everyone’s not already enlightened or in Nirvana, but if they “become” that (in the future,) will the universe cease to exist.”
The Truth is, at any given Now, the Universe both exists and does not exist, The Universe is being born and has already ‘collapsed.’
And of course there’s no “if everyone becomes enlightened,” because no one becomes enlightened or reaches nirvana. Because there are no “separate individual” ones; There is only The ONE, Pure Being, Pure Consciousness, and Consciousness wakes up to Itself, in any given “location” of itself (includes sentient and non-sentient locations) when It deems, not “us.” It (Consciousness) will also deem whether the Universe ever “ceases to exist,” (since it doesn’t really exist in the first place) and it will not be determined by how many “humans” seem to reach enlightenment or nirvana.
Hope that’s helpful

You are mostly the mind (software) that runs on the brain (hardware) in your head; your brain and body are tools supporting your mind. If our civilization doesn’t collapse but instead advances, we will eventually be able to move your mind into artificial hardware, making a “brain emulation”. With an artificial brain and body, you could live an immortal life, a life as vivid and meaningful as your life today, where you never need feel pain, disease, grime, and your body always looks and feels young and beautiful. That person might not be exactly you, but they could (at first) be as similar to you as the 2001 version of you was to you today. I describe this future world of brain emulations in great detail in my book The Age of Em.

This will probably upset some TMers, but here we go:
- Find a comfortable place, doesn’t have to be in lotus position, whatever comfy works for you is just fine.
- Pick a mantra or pay somebody (from TM.org) to give you a mantra (probably in Sanskrit). But any word (in any language) that has a great meaning to you (or no meaning at all - ask your buddy who speaks a language unknown to you) should work.
- Close your eyes
- Start repeating the mantra in your mind, in a relaxed manner, the cadence should not be long or quick, just whatever feels comfortable to you.
- Do not forget to breath as slowly and long as possible as time passes, the rhythm of your breath and your mantra should not necessarily match. Don’t fret much about this.
- At some point, if for 10 seconds, the only thing you feel, is impressed in your mind is the mantra. Then you’re in the right path.
- Do this for as long as you want, start with 10 minutes the limit is yours.
Disclaimer:
I used to belong to a ‘spiritual’ group (I won’t say the name), they had their own ‘secret’ meditation technique, but I started reading other meditation techniques from other older Eastern traditions, and found there was nothing new or unique about this ‘secret’ formula, so I left the group and I can say there’s nothing special/unique about any ‘modern’ meditation technique, it has been said and done in the past. With that said, I do not believe any meditation technique is superior to another one, it all depends on the context, some are good in the morning, some are good at night, some are good when you’re energized, some are good when you feel weak. After all, the true gist of meditation is to be fully present, with whatever the existence is throwing at you, sitting down and closing your eyes is just the tip of the iceberg. If you can be fully present while interacting with the world. Then you actually know what meditation is all about.
Enjoy the journey!

Two types of meditation
Meditation is not meant for liberation; not meant for knowledge; Meditation is not meant for mystic experiences also. Meditation has two roles. The first is to prepare the mind for spiritual knowledge- upāsana dhyānam. Self knowledge comes from jñāna yōga; Sṛavaṇam produces knowledge. But even as we read the scriptures, doubts also arise in the mind. Knowledge is weakened by doubts; Mananam converts knowledge into conviction. But we find that in spite of conviction; the mind does not enjoy the benefit of knowledge. We continue to be bitter, jealous, frustrated, fearful. Samsara does not go away. If knowledge does not bring peace, it is because of obstacles. Therefore our aim is to remove obstacles. The mind has habitual notions, certain ideas we carry about ourselves; and they are strongly ingrained in the mind, called viparīta bhāvanā. We have gathered many viparīta bhāvanās and they are deep in our mind, in the sub-conscious. The process of removing viparita bhavana is nidhidhyāsana dhyānam. It is the second type of meditation.

HIM not meant for mystic experiences
mind for spiritual knowledge
That’s a ‘mystic experience.’ In English this is gnosis, more accurately unverified personal gnosis, in the sense of divinely revealed knowledge and when it happens it tends to be profoundly mystical as well as a slow process.
###########################
Spiritual knowledge is beyond any experience. You cannot experience the experiencer. You can simply realize that you are the experiencer. That's all. I'm not discounting mystical experiences, but they are like flowers on the path leading to the temple of self-knowledge. You don't stop walking to the temple to pick up the flowers. You admire the flowers, but keep walking. Getting stuck on mystical experiences will shut the doors of the temple and you will just have the flower. No experience, whether mundane or mystical leads to gnosis. But they are pointers. They are helpful in calming the mind. Gnosis simply means knowledge of the divinity within existence itself. And for this to happen the duality between the experience and the experiencer has to be known to be an appearance. Mystical experiences are wonderful, but please don't equate mystical experiences with realisation. They are but temporary and a result of progress in the path of realization. But they aren't realization itself.
#############################
what is considered to be a mystical experience is very vague. But basically any experience which reveals pointers towards Non-Duality of the experiencer and the experience can be considered as a mystical experience.
##############################
All language is dualistic and hence limited in conveying Non-Duality but it also has the potential to talk in paradoxical language which points towards the nature of non duality. This paradoxical language is used in our ancient texts very well, as well as other ancient texts like that of zen. However, contemporary English is a very difficult language to convey this paradox of duality. It is a very direct and transactional language, so to say, and not philosophical. However, it can be used in an extremely clever way to do so but that would require the breaking of some grammatical rules haha
