Yes it is absolutely enough. And more than that, ego does not have to dissapear completely to see Truth. It is the way around. From the “point of view” of Truth ego is seen. It is here, it is real, but our lives does not have to be driven by their corrupted nature. Ego is just a social construct, it is the tool to inter-act within this human society.
Majority of egos are ill. Suffering, full of pain, hate, anxiety, sense of guilt., etc.
But what about the healthy ego, just the plain tool to function? Is it also the obstacle to be natural and free from suffering? I believe so.
Don´t make the goal to kill the ego. It is like the air. Are you able to take a knife and cut the air into peaces? No the air will still be there. The same with ego…
There is no obstacle in any form (including the human ego) that can prevent you to recognize awareness.

SHIVALOKA
The shape is inverted in reality, with the oval ring towards the Devi Loka, and cylindrical shape moving towards other different manifestations. This whole field of Shiva Loka has 8 concentric layers, each layer is in the form of a Linga, and can additionally be separated into 108 planes.

I will suggest a simple technique.
Imagine that you know no language. Imagine that you are an ancient pre-language human being.
Now, if you are hungry, you are aware of the hunger. You don't verbalise within your own mind, ‘Oh, I am hungry. I need to eat’.
Get back to those instincts without verbalising them in your mind.
Very soon, you will realise the awareness which is ‘I am’.
If your hand is cut, you are simply aware of the pain.
If your lover smiles, you are simply aware of your gushing love.
It is just kicking out a old habit stuck to the DNA, with little conscious practice.
Just de-verbalise your self-communication. ‘I am’ is the immediately realised.

If the evidence is personal, psychological(for want of words) and experiential, how to show it to the other ?
If you are really interested, and willing to take the efforts, you can infer the evidences in so many ways.
You may not see the God they saw. But you can see so much of Godliness(for want of words) shining in them.
People did not see the Kali that ShriRamakrishna was seeing all the time but they didn't miss seeing Her in all the ways He was living His life.

Since evidence being ‘inner experience’ is not possible to be demonstrated to others unless the other is also attuned to receive the ‘inner experience’, the Gurus did the second best- help the seekers in attuning himself/herself.

In April 1897 Swami Vivekananda was staying at the Alambazar monastery after returning from the West. Sharat Babu went to see Swamiji and found him resting in his room. He sat down to wait for Swamiji, but all of a sudden he saw that Lord Shiva was lying where Swamiji had been. He could not believe his eyes at first, but as he stared at the figure he could not doubt what he saw.

Still, How does He want you and me to see Shiva ?
He who sees Shiva in the poor, in the weak, and in the diseased, really worships Shiva; and if he sees Shiva only in the image, his worship is but preliminary.
