TO INNER CORE OF SILENCE

##################

“When a wise being understands the way of the world, the sport and the play of destiny and the light of the knowledge of Bhairava (a name for the supreme reality), then he becomes filled with the extraordinary mystery of the formless and feels lighthearted with this simple awareness.
Then he naturally takes delight in the game; with great bliss he swims in the sweet current of love. He lives in a natural way. His is a perfect life in which there is no basis for worry, no reason to be brave, no desire for a support, no binding limitation, no friend to be attached to, no foe to hate. All that remains for him everywhere is the infinite flame of the Self. In him the knowledge of the play of maya and the understanding of the great Bhairava are born. Everything emerges from Bhairava, the conscious Self. To know this is to attain the ever-scintillating knowledge of Bhairava.
When you recognize the Self within, an inner smile blossoms and the peacock of your mind dances in the fountain of the love of life. You realize that life depends on love and the strings of the veena of your heart are strummed. Then you travel your life' journey very easily and with great joy, as a guest, as a sightseer, as a witness. For you there is no burden, there is no weeping, there is no boredom. Instead, you sing and dance. Lightheartedly, with great simplicity, you find Consciouness, the center of the universe, within you.
This untouched Consciousness is the formless witness, the indestructible joy. It is a drop of nectar; it is the inner heart; it is the shimmering, clear and beautiful blue light; it is the bliss of the Self which arises independently within; it is the inner effulgence. The knot of the heart which makes you imagine that Consciousness is limited to matter will be released. The veil of ignorance which forms a wall between you and God will be rent.
You will glimpse the light of the knowledge of Bhairava within. Then you will experience the lightheartedness of Consciousness, the thought-free state, and the independent freshness of the Self, which does not come from eating or drinking, giving or taking. You will experience immeasurable ecstasy and a continual inner joy. The tender, sweet, enchanting notes of the divine flute will sound from within. As the inner wisdom of Bhairava arises, a center of Consciousness, a witness, will form inside you watching everything but remaining apart from it. You will experience that conscious witness in your heart, the dwelling place of joy and of the divine miracles of the Self. The knowledge of the Self will arise, revealing unique manifestations and infinite colors. You have been searching for this inner light of Consciousness and when you obtain it you will become free from all imaginary clouds, from the illusory patterns of the sun and the shadow. In everything, in all forms you will see only different expressions of your own face. You will come to know that everything is the play of your own mind. No matter where you look you will see the play.
The knowledge of “I am everything" will arise and you will see the same Self shining within you and within everyone. The inner knower will come to recognize that he is being reflected everywhere and that it is his own reflection which is constantly passing before him. Wherever you look you will see your own Self. Then you will begin to wonder, "Do I exist in the world or does the world exist in me?" One who has experienced his own Self has solved the mystery of the game of life.
Behind everything there is great Love. There is Consciousness. There is the Guru's compassion. There is the extraordinary, yet subtle desire to be reunited with the Self. You will be awakened within. You will drink the nectar of Divine love. You will recognize your own Self in countless forms. Your life will be truly alive.
Then through the inner understanding, through the light of Chit Kundalini, through the knowledge of Bhairava, the seed of the movement of the Self will sprout. You will see your own Self in everyone. You will attain what you have already attained. You will find what you have never lost.
In you, of you, and for you,
Your own,
Swami Muktananda”

Dear all,

what a beautiful question.

Enlightenment is not a state of happiness, love, being one, state of conciousness, meditative state, any kind of samadhi, nirvana, etc.

Enlightenment is not a state.

It is not added quality to experience itself.

It is nothing you can talk about and make definition or concept out of it.

Enlightenment is not state of mind. All states come an go.

But existence is only present, now, now, now.

What we can say about the now? Always only that what is at current moment happening. But do we need to talk or think about it?.

The now does not require mind in the move. In present, mind is still and empty. Live comment of life is gone. Inner dialogue is gone. Because in reality there is no separate entity standing appart of the current experience.

In reality there is only experience itself.

When self is realized the main sign is dissolving of the illusonary identity. When this egoic self is dissolved within the absolute the gap between experience and experiencer is “bridged”. When this gap is gone only life remains.

What we can say about life itself with no illusory identity living that life?

Nothing special. What is that is. No questions, no answers. Pain is pain, joy is joy. How would the question or arguing the present moment would change it?

Living the reality is all that is. Unconditional peace within which life unfolds…

Sure emotions are present, when your kid make first steps, you have tears in your eyes, when your parents die you have tears also. But all that underlied with the unconditional peace. No thoughts about emotions, no drama, no stories, no concepts.

With the lack of insights in living reality people use to make definitions and terms what enlightenment is. Living the reality itself the ability to do that is lost.

SO, I am not talking about enlightenment as the quality of life, as something:)

Reality is “enlightened” also without our effort we just need to give up to achieve it.

Did the Buddha speak on the existence of gods, but not to depend on them for liberation from suffering?

The Pali texts clearly state that the Buddha frequently mentioned the gods (Devas) and actually even went to meet the 33 gods of the Vedic pantheon (trayas-trimśat devata) to preach the Dharma to them. So in this sense Buddhism is definitely not “atheistic”.

22. "Now there are eight kinds of assemblies, Ananda, that is to say, assemblies of nobles, brahmans, householders, ascetics, of the Four Great Kings, of the Thirty-three gods, of Maras, and of Brahmas.

23. "And I recall, Ananda, how I have attended each of these eight kinds of assemblies, amounting to hundreds. And before seating myself and starting the conversation or the discussion, I made my appearance resemble theirs, my voice resemble theirs. And so I taught them the Dhamma, and roused, edified, and gladdened them. Yet while I was speaking to them thus, they did not know me, and they would enquire of one another, asking: 'Who is he that speaks to us? Is it a man or a god?'

(Mahabuddhavamsa Chapter 40)

The Buddha denied that Devas had the power to grant liberation to anyone and therefore the emphasis must be on self-liberation. It is a DIY spiritual project.

But human nature being what it is - a Divine Liberator is of great comfort and so there developed streams of devotional buddhism which venerated Bodhisattvas and through devotion to them one could attain rebirth in the heavens of the Boddhisattvas and there strive for Liberation.

NDE

Is the light that people say they see when they are dying a spiritual one or just a chemical reaction in the brain?

Focus on the data. In the book “After" by Dr. Greyson at UVA, he examines thousands of NDE cases. He created iands.org with his colleagues, with thousands of case studies.

He discusses how the brain has filters that prevent access to information. That during an NDE, the idea is the filters are down or off.

Not everyone has them. Mediums who see, hear, experience things outside our perspective have altered filters. Some children dont have them until the age of eight, older people lose them.

But ww can bypass them via hypnotherapy, mediumship or meditation. Ive been filming people doing so for over a decade. See documentaries “flipside” or “Hacking the Afterlife” on Amazon Prime.

Consciousness isnt confined to the brain. The science out of UVA Medical school shows that. Dr. Greyson's “After" Dr Tucker's “Before" with 1500 reincarnation cases, Ed Kelly PhDs “Consciousness Unbound “ with 100s of peer reviewed studies indicating conc
