শরীরটার সুখের জন্যে সারা জীবন ধরে কত অশান্তি করলো। শরীরটাকে সুখে রাখবে বলে দশতলা বাড়ি বানিয়েছে। মরে গেলে শরীরটাকে কোথায় সুখে-স্বাচ্ছন্দে রাখবে?

চোখের সামনে দেখতে পাচ্ছ—মরে গেলে শরীরটার কোন দাম থাকে না। শরীরের প্রতি আসক্তি তবু এতটুকু কমছে না।

দেহটা যেতে বসেছে, কথা বন্ধ হয়ে গেছে। হাত উঠছে না, তবুও চাবির গোছা ধরে রেখেছে। সুখের আশা ছাড়তে পারছে না।

ভাবছে না-- সারা জীবন ধরে আগলে রাখা বিষয়সম্পত্তি ছেলেরা ঊড়িয়ে দিতে পারে।

তোমার অস্তিত্ব কি শরীরটুকুর মধ্যেই? যখনই কষ্ট পাও—একটু খেয়াল করে দেখলে দেখতে পাবে, দেহটার মধ্যে একটা কেউ আছে—যেটা কষ্ট পাচ্ছে।

অকারণে কেউ গাল দিলে দেহটার কিছু হয় না, দেহের ভিতর একজন কষ্ট পায়। কষ্ট যে পায়--তাকে দেহী বলা হয়।

দেহীই দেহটাকে ধরে রেখেছে।

দেহীটা রক্ত মাংস, হাড়ের খাঁচার মধ্যে থাকে। আবার খাঁচাটার বাইরেও যেতে পারে। দেহীটার স্বরূপ বিশাল। রক্তমাংসের ছোট খাঁচাটার মধ্যে থেকে দেহীটা কষ্ট পায়।

দেহীটা নিজেকে দেহ বলে বোধ করছে কেন?

কারণ, অজ্ঞানতার চাদর দেহীটাকে ঢেকে রেখেছে। দেহী বুঝতে পারছে না—তার স্বরূপটা কতখানি।

অজ্ঞানতা দেহীটার অসুখ।

কোন ওষুধে দেহীর এই অসুখ সারবে না।

জন্মজন্মান্তরের অজ্ঞানতা সংস্কারে পরিণত হয়েছে। জমাটবাঁধা সংস্কার ভেঙ্গে বেরিয়ে আসতে হলে চাই সমর্পণ।

কার কাছে সনর্পণ করবে?

নিজের কাছেই নিজেকে সমর্পণ করতে হবে। কারণ নিজেই জান—নিজে কেমন; কেমন হওয়া উচিৎ ছিল।

নিজেরা যতই চেষ্টা কর না কেন—অজ্ঞানতার অন্ধকার থেকে বেরিয়ে আসতে পারবে না। অন্ধকারের সঙ্গে লড়াই করে অন্ধকার দূর করা যায় না। জ্ঞানের আলো জ্বললে অন্ধকার দূ্রে সরে যায়।

নিজের কাছে নিজেকে সারেন্ডারের জন্য সর্বসংস্কার মুক্ত একজনের কাছে যেতে হবে, তা না হলে হওয়া মুস্কিল আছে।

একটা প্রদীপের কাছে এসেই আর একটা প্রদীপ জ্বলে।

Is practising stoicism the same as following Lord Shiva? If by stoicism you mean indifference to pleasure or pain, then yes, Lord Shiva is the greatest stoic. That is why He was able to consume the poison that threatened creation during the Samuthra Mandan. You must be dispassionate about everything including your kith and kin, and the world in general. Not only stoicism internally but also to what happens externally in the world around you. This will detach you from maya, and liberate you from mayas clutches, from the fetters she has as hands. ######################### a  When people are created, where does the consciousness/soul come from? People’s bodies are created through their parents having sexual intercourse in accordance with the principles of biology. Almost 99% of the mass of the human body is made up of six elements: oxygen, carbon, hydrogen, nitrogen, calcium, and phosphorus. So the body is a skin bag of chemicals. Activating this bag of chemicals is consciousness. Consciousness is inherent in the fabric of the Universe. Only in Hinduism is consciousness associated with what is commonly called “the soul” which does not describe accurately the Hindu position. According to the theology of the monotheists - the soul is an “essence” which an individual human (and only humans) possesses. In Hindu philosophy what is referred to as the Self is the ātman - the point of perceptual awareness. This “awareness” or “mode of consciousness” possesses a body as described above, there is no separate essence of soul. Now this brings us to the next question “What is consciousness?” This is the hard problem of science which so far science has been unable to universally determine and remains a “problem”. There are many hypotheses and proposition but none conclusive. The Hindu view aligns with Pan-psychism. ################################## It is often said that the "I" is an illusion. But it is also advised that we should accept everything as it is 'here & now', including these "I" thoughts. Wouldn't accepting this "I" illusion lead to reinforcing the belief in the illusion? What about to let everything be the way it is?! Forget “illusions”, “here & now”, forget the “I”. What are you left with? Empty hands… Just sounds, feelings, sights, thoughts, emotions, breath, heartbeat, “others”, “apparent illusion”, “apparent here & now”, “apparent I”. So letting everything be the way it is, we love ourselves so unconditionaly, that we are able to give freedom whatever is here. We may cry or we may laught sometimes, but it may be loved too. ########################### ################ ck Surprisingly, many brain regions do not contribute meaningfully to experience. This is true for the cerebellum, despite having more than four times more nerve cells than neocortex. Even in neocortical tissue, the most complex piece of highly excitable matter in the known cosmos, some sectors have a much more intimate relationship to experience than others. ################## ##################### ######################## CK Consciousness belongs to the natural realm. Just like mass and charge, it has causal powers. To create human-level consciousness in a machine, the intrinsic causal powers of the human brain must be instantiated at the level of the metal, the transistors and wiring making up its hardware. I will show that the intrinsic causal powers of contemporary computers is puny compared to those of brains. Thus, artificial consciousness calls either for computer architectures radically different from those of today’s machines or for a merging of neural and silicon circuits as envisioned by transhumanists. ############################ #################### #########################
