The possibility of the inverted spectrum is closely related to the privacy and subjectivity of consciousness. It’s precisely because conscious experiences can’t be shared and can’t be objectively captured that we cannot rule out the possibility that we have radically different colour qualia from one another, even when looking at the very same object.
