A New Perspective: Night and Day We are accustomed to believing thata new day begins either when we wake up or when the clock turns to midnight. The Jewish faith believes that the day is from sunset to sunset. This is important in respect of night dreams because our dream experiencesaffect our waking life. If we are having a “good” or “bad” day, most of us can relate that to experiences that have occurred throughout the day (or our waking life).

Ignorance and denial, mostly. Yesterday came and went, today looks to being doing so as well, and I've no real reason to think tomorrow will be different. A strong sense that 'Well, that's not going to happen to -me-!'

But, there are those times when you can't avoid thinking of The End. In those times, there's beauty, and effect.

Flowers wilt, seasons turn, songs end, and shooting stars only last a moment. They have value because they aren't forever. Like any story, my life has had a beginning, and middle, and someday, shall have an end.

But just because one book is closed doesn't mean all stories are forever ended. Each person I meet, each action I take has an effect. That effect ripples out, effecting other, who in turn effect yet others. I teach my ideals to my children, who shall in turn teach their own. Everything I do, everything I have done, everything I will ever do has an impact. And nothing, not death, not decay, not even time can take that away.
