BG14 GTV Yog

In the Bhagavad Gita, Chapter 14 (Bg 14) is called “The Three Modes of Material Nature” (Guna-Traya-Vibhaga Yoga).

This chapter explains the three gunas (modes) that influence human behavior and consciousness:

1. Sattva (Goodness) – Associated with wisdom, purity, and happiness.

2. Rajas (Passion) – Linked to desire, attachment, and restlessness.

3. Tamas (Ignorance) – Related to laziness, delusion, and darkness.

Krishna explains how these gunas bind the soul and how transcending them leads to liberation (moksha). The highest state is beyond these modes, where one attains Brahman realization and true devotion.
