BG 13.19

Those who practice karm, jñāna, aṣhṭāṅg, etc. devoid of bhakti cannot truly understand the import of the Bhagavad Gita, even though they themselves may think that they do. *Bhakti is the essential ingredient in all paths* leading to knowledge of God. https://www.holy-bhagavad-gita.org/chapter/13/verse/19

*Question: In this Verse, Shree Krishna concludes His summary of the field, knowledge, and the object of knowledge. Why can practitioners of karm, jñāna, or aṣhṭāṅg-yog fail to truly understand the import of the Bhagavad Gita?*

📜 Because they have not memorized a sufficient number of Sanskrit verses.

🕊️ Because bhakti (devotion) is the essential ingredient, and without it, these paths alone cannot grant true understanding of God.

🏛️ Because these paths are only meant for ancient times and are entirely invalid in the modern age.

🧘 Because those paths focus entirely on the physical body rather than the mind or intellect.
