• The Robber Couple on the Highway: While walking alone through the dangerous, bandit-infested plains of Teldirectory at dusk, she was confronted by a terrifying highwayman and his wife. Instead of panicking, Sarada Devi immediately addressed them as her "Father" and "Mother." Her total innocence and genuine maternal warmth disarmed the robber couple so completely that they broke down, fed her puffed rice, and safely escorted her to her destination.
  
  
• The Robber-Bandit Amjad: In rigid 19th-century India, she openly served meals to Amjad, a local Muslim laborer and known thief. When her orthodox sister-in-law threw food at Amjad from a distance to avoid caste pollution, Holy Mother reprimanded her, cleaned the spot herself, and stated firmly: "Amjad is as much my son as Sarat (Swami Saradananda) is."
