The same can be said about the loss of someone we love. I think they have a term for it.. FOMO (Fear of missing out). That's why we grieve when they are gone. The world around us is too vast to be understood within the 70 year period of our life. All of this talk about futurism makes us wanting for more and it makes us sad that we will not be here to know and make sense of it. What is 70 years in comparison to a 1000 years, let alone a million years. That's what, according to me, makes it more valuable. People and philosophers have this theory about a utopia after death but that's because people have been thinking more about death, than the life that they are currently a part of.
