It’s Not a Wee Problem – Constipation and Urinary Problems Apart from all the other areas of life that are affected, it is extremely common for children with stool withholding to have some urinary problems too. These children often try to hold on to their wee as well. This can cause a number of problems including an increased risk of cystitis and urinary infections. More commonly, children may overestimate the ability of their bladder to hold urine, with the inevitable result that they wet themselves.
