World Sepsis Day 2017 Wednesday 13th September Now in its 6th year, World Sepsis Day unites health professionals and the public with events in more than 50 countries around the world. The UK has always been at the forefront of this effort, and this year is no different. We kick off the week with a prestigious conference on sepsis hosted by the Royal Society of Medicine, followed that same day by a BBC Panorama program- 'Why Mum died: Britain's sepsis crisis'- exploring the NHS' response to sepsis. On Tuesday, we will be hosting a Parliamentary event encouraging parliamentarians to support our call for a National sepsis registry and reinvigorated public awareness campaign, while on Wednesday we have a further meeting with the Secretary of State for Health which we hope will result later in the month in some major announcements. What you've achieved so far And how you can help in 2018 Thanks to your support, in the last year we have made 2 MILLION more people aware of "Sepsis" Together, we are saving and changing the lives of sepsis survivors. We have achieved a lot, but we know there is so much more that needs to be done. Please join us in our mission to help mend sepsis. There are so many ways to help - you can donate monthly, pick a fundraising event, share our posts on social media or simply hand out symptom cards to your friends and family.
