//////////////////BUDDHISM

Yearn not for a body free of disease and suffering, because without going through pain and illness, sundry desires are easily awakened.
2. Wish not for a life free of mishaps and obstacles, because without them one tends to become arrogant and egotistic.
3. Pray not for a quick shortcut regarding spiritual introspect, because without excruciating effort, one becomes short-learning.
4. Fear not the haunting disturbance of evil while accumulating spiritual strength, because without them one’s determination does not grow solid strong.
5. Hope not for easy success in one’s work, because without difficulties and failures, one tends to undervalue others and become overly proud.
6. Build not relationships on selfish gain, because a relationship based on profit has lost its genuine meaning.
7. Look not for a universal consensus regarding one’s personal opinion, because complete adoption to a single opinion will render narrow mindedness.
8. Expect not repayment or reward from others for one’s services, because calculation and expectation contradicts true service.
9. Engage not irrationally into profitable attractions, because jumping too quickly into temptation may well blind wisdom.
10. Stir not at being victim of injustice, because eagerness to clarify reputation belongs to an ego too attached to loose.

///////////////////////PANTHEISM

All of reality contains both top down and bottom up aspects, but the point I've been making is that monotheism views the top down as primary, that God is an ideal from which we have fallen. Versus the bottom up, evolutionary process, in which the source is the essence out of which we rise. The point where an entity logically goes from being bottom up to top down is when it stops growing and absorbing more outside energy, so that what it does contain settles into ever more stable and eventually stagnant patterns, as entropy sets in. These do eventually dissolve back into being free energy to be incorporated into other growing entities and incorporate whatever information they still contain into these new structures. That is why political structures that are overwhelmingly top down are repressive, while societies that are dynamic appear disordered, since they are constantly having to adapt to fresh input.Information is inherently top down, since it depends on an ordered state, while energy is bottom up, since it is either adding to existing structure, or radiating back out into an expanded context. As I keep pointing out about time, information recedes into the past, as energy proceeds into the future. It is the tendency of the intellect to prioritize information over energy, while the raw animal spirits of politics is more concerned with the energy.Regards,JOHN

//////////////////The fundamental cause of people's unhappiness lies in their tendency to develop attachments of various kinds. Attachments are fetters on one's heart—earthly desires, cravings and so on. In the pre-Lotus Sutra teachings, Shakyamuni taught people the path for freeing themselves from such attachments. The spirit of the Lotus Sutra, however, is not to eradicate earthly desires. When we base ourselves on the Buddhist Law, we can transform earthly desires—just as they are—into enlightenment. This is the principle of "earthly desires are enlightenment." It's not a matter of eradicating attachments but of seeing them clearly. Rather than causing us to abandon our earthly desires and attachments, our Buddhist practice enables us to discern their true nature and utilize them as the driving force to become happy. The truth is that we could not in fact eradicate our attachments even if we so wished.
