Gurudev Sri Paramahansa Yogananda Ji said:
Kriya Yoga is an instrument through which human evolution can be quickened. Kriya Yoga, controlling the mind directly through the life force, is the easiest, most effective, and most scientific avenue of approach to the Infinite.
The after effects of Kriya bring with them the utmost peace and bliss. The joy that comes with Kriya is greater than the joys of all pleasurable physical sensations put together. From that joy experienced in meditation I receive the rest of a thousand sleeps. Sleep becomes virtually unnecessary to the advanced Kriya Yogi.
Self-realization is yoga or "oneness" with truth — the direct perception or experience of truth by the all-knowing intuitive faculty of the soul.

Sastra :- It is irony to say that now a days Sastra is being sold like hot cakes in the common market. But in the Bhagavat Gita Lord Krishna has employed the superlative degree of the word “Guhya”in order to describe Sastra as most secret, most hidden. Sastra is the most mysterious of all mysteries. It should not be disclosed before all, it should be disclosed before a deserving person, before a right Receptor who is worthy to utilize and implement the Sastra in a right manner for the Self cum God realization. Even Saint Tulsi Das in the Ramacharitamanasa has mentioned that this Text is as hidden as a secret pond and any one cannot have access to it, on this context he describes “Ramacharita sara gupta suhava sambhu prasada tata mae pava”. Had there been no Arjuna, there would not have been the disclosure of the Bhagavat Gita. That is why Krishna has described the Sastra as most secret, most hidden and most mysterious which can only be revealed to a right person otherwise if water is poured on to an un-burnt, unbaked clay pot it will smash it. Both container and contained will lose their dignity, their significance.

The name VAIKUṆṬHA means the “Unobstructed state” - a state of consciousness in which there is no limitation whatsoever, clear, expansive and blissful.

It is inconceivable. Here’s a description of Vaikuṇṭha from Viṣṇu Purāṇa:–

viśuddhaṃ bodhanaṃ nityam ajam akṣayam avyayam |

avyaktam avikāraṃ yat tad viṣṇoḥ paramaṃ padam ||

na sthūlaṃ na ca sūkṣmam yan-na viśeṣaṇa ‘gocaram |

tat padaṃ paramaṃ viṣṇoḥ praṇamāmaḥ sadāmalam ||

That which is the Supreme State (Paramam Padam aka Vaikuṇṭha) of Vishnu is pure, conscious, eternal, unborn, undecayable, inexhaustible, unmanifest, immutable, It is neither gross nor subtle, nor capable of being defined, to that ever immaculate Supreme State of Vishnu I bow. (Vishnu Purana 1:9:50 – 51)

pradhāna-puruṣāvyakta-kālānāṃ paramam hi yat |

paśyanti sūrayaḥ śuddham tad viṣṇoḥ paramam padam ||

What is beyond matter, spirit, manifestation, and time; that pure [state] which sages behold that is the supreme abode of Vishnu. (Vishnu Purana 1.2.16)

It is state of consciousness beyond imagination and articulation so any description of it from the Puranas is merely an incentive to strive for, not an actual Disneyland travel report for FB.

My husband gets up around 4 am and drinks coffee and watches you tube videos on a variety of topics until the sun comes up. Then he goes out and tends to his bees, works in the garden, trims trees, mows the 2 acre yard, and whatever else needs to be done outside. He builds his own guitars, banjos, ukeleles and flutes. He averages 12–15,000 steps a day unless it’s pouring rain

I cook, clean, do laundry, run errands, feed the dog, make sugar water for the bees, make quilts, and write books. When we can afford it, we take a road trip to visit the kids which usually takes us a month and we drive about 6,000 miles. We try to visit any interesting parks or tourist spots along the way. We always try to take a slightly different route each time so we see new things.

Millennials are often pegged as the generation of “spiritual but not religious.”

The Bhagavad-gita develops its message gradually and systematically. It starts by stressing our spiritual identity (02.13) and concludes by proclaiming Krishna’s all-pervading, all-embracing divinity, thereby calling for loving harmony with him (18.66).

Renunciation isn’t about taking monastic vows or exchanging your Tempur-Pedic mattress for a pallet; it’s about the wisdom to realize that holding on to anything impermanent only brings sorrow.
