‘Sage Tiruvalluvar says that three things can make someone go astray.
First: desire or lust for any and every thing. Second: when anger, hate or
loathing is encouraged or goes unchecked. Third: when one gets caught
between the inner world and the external and is convinced that the external
is real. The first sign of purity is when an individual makes it a priority to
not hurt people or cause grief in the lives of others.’
