NDEs (Near Death Experiences) are amazing phenomena and easy to look up. They occur about 15% of the time when a person has flatlined and been resuscitated. They induce many experiences. I won’t go into all of them, but here’s a couple. Whilst technically dead, many people have experienced an OBE (out of body experience). Many times these involve the person able to clearly observe events around their body, they are called veridical experiences. For example what happened and what was said/done in a hospital environment or accident scene. Sometimes this can even be in a different location, such as another hospital room, or even in a family member’s home, being able to see and hear conversations and events. These are accurately verified later on.
Sometimes also, a person comes back with information from a deceased friend, relative or another spirit which is verified on return. Sometimes future events are shown which come to pass.
These are a strong indication that consciousness is not local, and can exist without the brain functioning.
Another phenomenon is mediumship readings done. Whilst there are many frauds out there, there are also highly skilled mediums. I’ve seen accounts which are truly mind blowing where the medium informed the sitter about issues which they would have no way of knowing. Again, sometimes these can be future events which come to pass.
A third phenomenon is reincarnation accounts. Again there is strong evidence that these are genuine. Statements are often backed up as being highly accurate after research.
These are easily looked up, so the evidence is there. Anyone can access it. 😊
The above phenomena have occurred throughout history, and are still occurring now, even more so, as resuscitation technology has improved, and will continue to do so. They generally get ignored by 99% of scientists, but thankfully there are some who get right into it with amazing evidence pointing towards continuing consciousness.
Sixteen Reasons why Near-Death Experiences (NDEs) are not hallucinations or the effects of the dying brain.
1. NDE survivors have clear and structured memories of what happened to them which they remember all their life.
2. Whereas hallucinations are all different, near-death experiences are very similar in different cultures and throughout history.
3. People see and hear things while they are unconscious that would be impossible for normal sensing.
4. People come back from a NDE with accurate facts they did not know before.
5. People report meeting with relatives they did not know were dead. In all cases they are correct
6. Some people come back with accurate knowledge of the future.
7. Some people come back with advanced knowledge consistent with quantum physics.
8. Some people are cured of fatal illnesses during a NDE or have miraculous recoveries from serious injuries.
9. The blind can see during a NDE
10. Some people have a group near-death experience
11. Some people have near-death-like experiences when there is nothing physically wrong with them
Researchers have found that deep meditation, deathbed visions, relaxation, psychic vision, astral projection, trance, mirror gazing, and eye movements, can trigger elements of the NDE.
12. Some bystanders who have nothing wrong with them can share and verify another's near-death experience.
13. Some people have a near-death experience when they are completely brain dead.
Hallucinations can only occur when people have a functioning brain which shows an active EEG reading. But vivid near death experiences have taken place during periods when their brains showed no electrical activity. At these times people should have no memory but the vivid NDEs are remembered by people years later.
14. Many people experience a ‘life review’ during which they see their lives from the perspective of other people.
15. The after-effects of a NDE are unique and long lasting.
16. NDE Survivors become measurably more psychic.
Quantum physics is challenging our traditional understanding of death. According to renowned scientist Robert Lanza’s biocentrism theory, death might not be the end at all but simply a transition. Lanza suggests that consciousness is not bound to our physical bodies and that, upon death, our awareness could continue in parallel universes, where multiple versions of us exist. This theory proposes that consciousness is energy, not confined to the body, and might never truly cease.
Instead of viewing death as a final end, Lanza’s perspective invites us to rethink our entire understanding of existence, suggesting that life and consciousness are far more interconnected with the universe than we could have ever imagined. This opens up the possibility that death, as we know it, might just be an illusion.
